The San Diego Legion have signed former All Blacks centre Ma’a Nonu for the 2020 Major League Rugby season.
The 37-year-old earned 103 Test caps for the All Blacks and was part of two World Cup-winning teams.
He played for the Blues in this year’s Super Rugby tournament, having returned from French club Toulon, but didn’t get an All Blacks recall.
‘I’m really grateful to be joining the San Diego Legion and to play in the MLR for the 2020 season,’ Nonu said in a statement. ‘I’m looking forward to the challenge of the new season ahead with the team. My family and I are excited about the move to San Diego.’
