Springbok captain Siya Kolisi responded to a shout-out from Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
The 22-year-old Englishman ran a competition on Twitter, with the new Premier League ball for the 2020-21 season as the prize.
To enter, children under the age of 16 had to recreate Rashford's kicking sequence and tweet the video.
If you’re under 16 and can recreate this sequence the new @nikefootball @premierleague ball is yours. Post your video with #MR10 and I’ll choose the winner tomorrow morning. Mums, dads make sure you post for your little ones 💪ðŸÂ¾ pic.twitter.com/dkwcCJ078A— Marcus Rashford (@MarcusRashford) July 29, 2020
A South African posted a video of his 13-year-old cousin attempting the challenge.
An impressed Rashford quoted the tweet and tagged Kolisi, saying: ‘Doing you proud'.
Kolisi responded to Rashford, saying he loved the clip.
While too old to enter the competition, Kolisi couldn’t resist taking up the challenge and tweeted this six-second video of himself showcasing his soccer skills.
